Christina Halatsis – A Visionary in Architecture

Christina’s passion for architecture can be traced back to her childhood in Belgium, surrounded by modern mass transportation juxtaposed in a world of Art Nouveau. She moved back to Minnesota with her family where she would go on to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, heavy in design theory, practical thinking, and sustainability.

After graduation, she was drawn to the innovation in large scale architecture coming out of Chicago and pursued her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago where she also studied for a semester in Barcelona, interning at a local firm.  In Chicago, she gained experience in Supertalls at Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill. 

Moving to NYC in 2012 she found her niche working in high-end luxury design at Cicognani Kalla Architect and later on development projects at Pembrooke and Ives before branching out into her own venture.

Christina Halatsis is a licensed Architect, registered in New York State.

Our team

  • Eric discovered a passion for architecture early on, inspired by his father and grandfather, who were deeply involved in home building and engineering. Growing up surrounded by open framing, electrical wires, and the hum of construction, his formal journey in architecture took shape during his undergraduate years.

    Originally from Erie, PA, Eric has called New York City home since high school. He earned a BFA from Binghamton University before pursuing his Master of Architecture at Buffalo University. With expertise in construction management, technical advisement, and trade coordination, he has contributed to design-driven projects at firms like ODA and Foundations Group.

    Beyond architecture, he has a creative side as a musician and songwriter, though these days, his biggest inspiration is his 8-year-old son.

  • Cemre’s passion for architecture began at just six years old during a visit to the Basilica Cistern in Istanbul, where the awe-inspiring space sparked a lifelong fascination with design. Originally from Izmir, Turkey, she later moved to Istanbul before heading to New York for college.

    She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Columbia College at Columbia University, followed by a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices in Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP.

    Before joining Halatsis Architect, Cemre worked at several small NYC firms, gaining hands-on experience in construction, zoning regulations, sustainability, and inclusive design. Her background also includes work in galleries, where she honed their ability to create dynamic and engaging art spaces.

    With expertise in Rhino, CAD, and graphic presentations, she brings a keen eye for design and technical precision to every project.

  • Lisbeth discovered a passion for architecture in high school while attending a three-week summer architecture program. This early exposure to design sparked a journey that led to earning a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC (2017–2021).

    Born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Lisbeth brings a strong foundation in Revit, AutoCAD, 3D renderings, and visualization to the team. With a deep understanding of drafting, graphic visualization, environmental design, and architectural theory, she is committed to creating impactful and well-crafted designs.

    Now working remotely, Lisbeth continues to refine their expertise and contribute innovative design solutions to every project.
